A dismissal is something that happens before trial, and is when the state decides for one reason or another that they cannot win the DWI so they file a motion to dismiss. The judge grants it and you win. No conviction. We work hard to find problems with the state’s case in order to obtain a dismissal of the charges without going to trial.
